2006 Knudsen Vineyard Brut Tasting Notes
The "leap-out-of-your-glass" aromatics of this Brut elicit a sense of exotic high density fruit. Fresh fruit aromas reminiscent of Mirabelle plum and nectarine are reminiscent of a very finely crafted Sljivovica, while maintaining the finesse and prized minerality of this Dundee Hills classic! The longer than average bottle aging of this wine provides soft yeasty-honeysuckle and vanilla aromas. The flavor is wild and concentrated. Look for a hint of raspberry and plum tart fruitiness within a very creamy mouth-feel. Minerality lends a sense of refinement. Rose petal and red apple fruit finish really makes this one of the most interesting Knudsen Vineyard Bruts yet.
