2006 Spirithouse Chardonnay Tasting Notes
This is a very exciting, one of a kind Chardonnay. The aroma is bursting out of the glass with Anjou pear, white peach, and cinnamon spice. The flavor is a surprising mouthful of richness, yet refinement. Succulent white peach and Anjou pear fruit are complimented by lovely spiced cinnamon and clove. The center is juicy while the finish is fresh and lasts and lasts. By the way, Argyle's 2000 vintage of this wine is drinking very well just now. It is still youthful, and is highly sought by Chardonnay enthusiasts.

It offers up a superb bouquet of wood smoke, mineral, baking spice, butterscotch, and other tropical nuances. Elegant on the palate with superb depth and concentration, this richly fruited effort owes more to Burgundy than Sonoma. It will provide pleasure for another 6 years. -JM"
