2008 Blanc de Blancs Tasting Notes
2008 was not only a glorious year for still wines, it turns out that it was a pretty darn special year for sparkling as well. This year’s Blanc de Blancs is a brilliant pale straw color with a beautifully fine mousse and delicate aromas of white flowers, sugar cookies, quince, and rock melon. In the mouth, it comes alive with concentrated ripe flavors of sweet pear, choux pastry and melon all balanced on a pure backbone of mineral acidity. This wine defines the fuller side of Blanc de Blancs in its exactitude and rich purity.
