2014 Spirithouse Pinot Noir

Entirely from Knudsen Vineyard, 2014 Spirithouse Pinot Noir displays the delicacy and refinement of the Dundee Hills while still bringing impressive depth and texture. Fresh red cherry, cranberry and the waft of late summer is brought together with warm baking spices and faint rooibos tea. The beautifully linear and chiseled acidity is embraced with silky, ethereal tannin leading to a long, generous finish. After fermentation and gentle pressing, the wine was allowed to age elegantly on its lees for 16 months in French oak, of which 40% were new.

2015 Cowhouse Pinot Noir

Named after Argyle's founding viticulturist, Allen Holstein, Cowhouse Pinot Noir comes from his personal high elevation vineyard in the Dundee Hills. As Allen would have it no other way, Cowhouse Pinot Noir exhibits classical Dundee Hills silky texture and fine-tuned tannins, complementing the dark cherry, rose petal, and black peppercorn aromatics. After fermentation and gentle pressing, the wine was allowed to age elegantly on its lees for 16 months in French oak, of which 40% were new.

2014 Spirit Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir

At 700 to 800 feet in elevation and awash with persistent drying winds, Spirit Hill Vineyard is always the last Pinot Noir to be picked and brought into the winery. Warmer than the previous vintage, and without the distraction of late September rains, the 2014 vintage has brought elegantly ripe flavors. Ripe wild cherries in chili chocolate sauce, juniper, and deep composted earth frame its tight core, while the firm yet folded tannins persist through its long, vibrant finish. After fermentation and gentle pressing, the wine was allowed to age elegantly on its lees for 16 months in French Oak, of which 40% was new.

2015 Reserve Pinot Noir

An admirable glimpse of the Willamette Valley's finest offerings, our Reserve Pinot Noir is truly a celebration of balance. All three of our vineyards are based in volcanic, red soils, contributing to its red cherry, rose mallow, and grilled meats. The tannins are firm, but rounded, an underlying minerality which drives the mid-palate through the long finish. While delving for pure fruit flavors and juicy acidity, we hang our phenolic hat on our trademark silky texture, which has been enhanced through cold soaking in small, 1.5-ton fermenters, along with aging 16 months in French oak barrel.

2015 Argyle Pinot Noir

Argyle Pinot Noir is an honest representation of the Willamette Valley. Fermented entirely in small 1.5 ton lots and plunged by hand, Argyle Pinot Noir is blended for purity. The nose leans towards dark cherry, red raspberry and spicy earth, while the middle palate is lush and graceful. On the back end, the wine builds density and focus as the silky yet, subtly firm tannins build into the long, energetic finish.
