Wine Spectator TOP 100 Wines of 2008
Posted on January 12, 2009
It looks like we had some good news in the year-end issue of Wine Spectator. Argyle is listed in the Wine Spectator TOP 100 Wines of 2008 with the 1998 Extended Tirage Brut being #17 with a score of 95. Check out the tasting notes. As for buying the 1998 ETB, we’re all sold out. The 1999 ETB should be available some time after summer. (Be sure to buy some when it’s released. It goes very quickly.)

Also grabbing a bit of attention, the 2005 Cowhouse Pinot Noir was given a score of 93 (now sold out), the 2000 Blanc de Blancs got a 92, and the 2000 Knudsen Vineyard Brut got a score of 91.

This list has 12 of the hottest domestic sparkling wines, 3 of which are made by Argyle! They are: the 1998 Extended Tirage Brut (of course), the 2000 Blanc de Blancs and the 2000 Knudsen Vineyard Brut.
