2014 Argyle Brut Rosé

The 2014 sparkling wine vintage in the Willamette Valley was pristine, showcasing the enticing generosity and focused definition the region has to offer. Blended between our two high elevation sites, 2014 Brut Rosé shows the delicate refinement of the Dundee Hills and the mineral tension of the Eola-Amity Hills. Bright, medium salmon-pink hue in color and perfume of rose petal, pink pepper and pomegranate encounter a palate of elegant, soft tannin and coiled-up concentration.

The Savvy Collector

Argyle Brut Rosé is made to be long aging, maintaining its richness & minerality borne of late season ripening and fresh fruit character. It is Argyle’s most popular prestige Sparkling Wine.

Wine Geek Companion

The addition of Pinot Meunier, varying in percentage on a vintage by vintage basis, is a vehicle to lift the best characteristics out of the predominant Pinot Noir in the blend.

Vintage Notes

The 2014 growing season began with plenty of sunshine and warmth throughout the Spring. About two weeks ahead of normal, the early June bloom continued with fantastic weather, leading to an above average fruit set. This required us to meticulously thin our vineyards in order to capture dense, vibrant fruit flavors. The summer was quite warm, seeing a near record number of 90º+ days.

2014 Black Brut

2014 in the Willamette Valley was a season of lavishness, without sacrificing focus. Sourced from the elevated hillsides of the Dundee Hills and Eola-Amity Hills, the 2014 Black Brut is supple yet elegant. Delicate red raspberry and subtle dark cherry are woven with savory fruit mince spice. The bead is direct, leading to a long, nimble finish.

2014 Knudsen Vineyard Brut

Planted in 1974, and at 900 feet elevation, is where you'll find this single parcel of Pinot Noir for our Knudsen Vineyard Brut. This combination of old vines at high elevation creates a unique dynamic of vibrant acidity and deep, textured complexity. Neutral wood barrel fermentation and aging helps build layers of savory, smoky intricacy playing off the red stone fruits, Mirabelle plum, fresh orange peel, and energetic length.

2014 Spirit Hill Vineyard Blanc de Blancs

At 750 feet in elevation, north-facing and windy, the Chardonnay from Spirit Hill Vineyard provides beautifully focused acidity and tension. The freshness of Eola-Amity Hills Chardonnay shines through with lemon and grapefruit wound up with tight malic energy. Neutral oak barrel fermentation and aging builds upon its pronounced structure, bringing subtle creaminess woven into fine, salty mineral length.
