Argyle Winery - Hand Crafted Oregon Wines

Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Méthode Champenoise Sparkling Wine

Argyle Brut

Oregon Pinot Noir

Argyle Winery makes 2 to 4 Oregon Pinot Noirs per vintage: our Reserve Pinot Noir, Nuthouse Pinot Noir, Spirithouse Pinot Noir, and Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. The Reserve Pinot Noir, Nuthouse Pinot Noir, and Spirithouse Pinot Noir spend 12 to 14 months aging in French oak barrels prior to bottling while the Willamette Valley Pinot Noir spends 8 to 9 months in French oak barrels. These wines originate from some of the best vineyard sites in Oregon, like Knudsen Vineyards and Stoller Vineyards. Concentrated fruit flavor and firm fruit tannins will add age-ability to our Oregon Pinot Noirs.

Oregon Chardonnay

Argyle Winery makes two Oregon Chardonnays per vintage: Nuthouse Chardonnay and Willamette Valley Chardonnay. Willamette Valley Chardonnay is a blend from two or three of our vineyards. Nuthouse Chardonnay is a single vineyard wine which is made in small quantities. At 40 acres, Argyle Winery has the largest plantings of small cluster, Dijon Chardonnay clones in Oregon.

Oregon Sparkling Wine

All Argyle Winery Sparkling Wines are vintage dated. Two grape varieties, Oregon Chardonnay & Oregon Pinot Noir, are used in Argyle Brut, Knudsen Vineyard Brut, Extended Tirage Brut and Argyle's special Brut Rosé. The Pinot Noir and Chardonnay ratio of each sparkling wine changes with each vintage and are indicated on the front label. Argyle Winery's Blanc de Blancs is 100% Dijon clone Chardonnay.

Nuthouse Pinot Noir

Nuthouse Pinot Noir is bottle-aged in Argyle's cellars for one year. The aromas develop a mixed pouch of delicious spice to go with the super concentrated wild blackberry and blueberry jam scents. The 2007 Nuthouse Pinot Noir's flavor is rich Bing cherry fruit, Santa Rosa plum, pie spices, cinnamon stick, with bouquet of forest loam and woods-edge Northwest bramble fruits. Hailing from Argyle's prized Lone Star vineyard, this is not a typical shy, pretty sort of Pinot Noir! The 2002 and 2003 Nuthouse Pinot Noirs received 93 points and a "Highly Recommended" rating from Wine Spectator! The 2004 Nuthouse Pinot received 91 points, 2005 scored 94, and the 2006 scored 93 points from Wine Spectator.
