2013 Extended Tirage Brut

Extended Tirage Brut is aged for ten years on the yeast and disgorged on demand to ensure freshness. Argyle’s Tirage Library in Dundee has sparkling wines still aging on the yeast, dating back to our first vintage in 1987.

93 Points — Wine Spectator

“This handsome sparkler reveals maturity but remains vibrant, offering baked pear and Meyer lemon flavors laced with roasted hazelnut and spice accents that linger on the rich finish. Drink now.” Tim Fish, September 2024, 93 Points “The 2013 ‘Extended Tirage’ was disgorged in July 2023. Given 3 G/L dosage, The wine was picked before the rains of the 2013 vintage. On the nose this shows baking spice dusted pastry crust, Pink Lady apple, and juicy peach notes with shades of diatomaceous earth. The mousse is super refined and elegant, as this glides throughout the drinking experience. 60% Pinot Noir with the remainder Chardonnay. This is ethereal stuff that is only starting to hit its stride. Drink 2024-2038.” -Owen Bargreen 2024, 96 Points
