Crafted for the Season: Your Fall Argyle Membership Wines

Introducing Our Fall Releases: The Art of the Finishing Touch

This fall, we celebrate the art of patience, knowing when to wait and when the moment is right. For Winemaker Kate Payne Brown, it is a constant conversation with the wine: is it gaining energy, or is it ready to stand on its own? The fall collection reflects that balance. Each bottle in your shipment carries years of quiet evolution in the cellar and vineyard, brought to life by our winemaking team and only available to Club Members.

Featured Wine: 2015 Extended Tirage Brut

Aged a full decade before release, this wine represents long-term vision and trust in the process. Its richness comes from extended time on the lees, i.e. the natural yeast that deepens texture and complexity. Kate calls lees “liquid gold,” and here they deliver layers of toast, pastry cream, orchard fruit, and freshness that remind us why patience pays off.

Featured Wine: 2023 Spirithouse Pinot Noir

The Dundee Hills AVA is home to red volcanic soils that give Pinot Noir “beautiful perfume and supple texture, with an undercurrent of minerality and an undeniable sense of place.” The 2023 vintage, a warmer year, gave us fruit concentration with aromatic lift, producing a wine that is both elegant and compelling. Expect red and black fruit notes alongside pomegranate and pink flowers, all wrapped in silky tannins and lifted by refreshing acidity.

Featured Wine: 2021 Knudsen Vineyard Blanc de Blancs

From the Knudsen Vineyard in Dundee Hills, this Chardonnay offers high-toned acidity and a striking mineral edge. Kate describes it as a “tightrope balance of citrus, floral notes, and chalky texture,” the hallmarks of a vibrant Blanc de Blancs. Focused, finely textured, and bursting with crisp orchard fruit, it’s a clear expression of site and vintage.

The Winemaker’s Perspective

“We’re dialing in vineyard blocks specifically for sparkling, experimenting with extended tirage aging, and exploring subtle changes in pressing and fermentation that elevate texture and freshness. There’s so much energy and possibility in what’s next.” — Kate Payne Brown
