These stunners are coupled with our expressive and bright new 2021 Lone Star Vineyard Chardonnay. Rounding out the mix, our complex and elegant 2021 Lone Star and 2021 Giving Tree single vineyard Pinot Noirs will delight fans of Oregon’s favorite noble grape. And last but not least, white wine enthusiasts will fall in love with an entirely new offering from Argyle — our practically electric 2021 Nusshaus Riesling.

We invite you to read on to learn more about each of these impeccable wines. It is our honor to share them with you, and we hope that your spring season is made even more enchanting by your membership. Thank you for your support!

The Wines in Your March Shipment

2019 Spirit Hill Vineyard Brut Rosé

Zesty, flinty, spicy, and nearly buzzing with high notes, our Spirit Hill Vineyard Brut Rosé is exceptionally expressive, with the aromatics of rose petals and bright pink fruit perfectly matching its color!

2019 Knudsen Vineyard Brut Rosé

We often find that Knudsen Sparkling wines are round and fruit-driven, with notes of brioche. We were pleasantly surprised when we found leaner, mineral notes in this vintage of Brut Rosé. This is one of our winemaker Nate Klostermann’s favorite wines because of its chewy texture and rosey brightness.

2021 Lone Star Vineyard Chardonnay

Lone Star Chardonnay is planted in two distinct areas of the vineyard, with the premium fruit coming from the northwest corner of Block 27. This planting of Chardonnay is centrally located on the slope just before the volcanic soils transition to Missoula soil. This soil mix results in edgy flinty notes and green citrus and pear, while a leaner oak regimen coaxes a soft pillowy texture and gentle energy.

2021 Nusshaus Riesling

New!

The Riesling grape is one of many faces, texures, personalities – and a somm secret for food pairings. Dry styles are often lean with high acidity and bright underripe orchard fruits, while sweet styles are rich and decadent. Nusshaus falls squarely in the middle of this scale with juicy ripe fruit, refreshing acidity, and subtle hints of golden mango. Keep on hand for spicy dishes, rich cheeses, and the occasional dessert.

2021 Lone Star Vineyard Pinot Noir

The 2021 vintage allowed our team to tap into the ruddier side of this iconically dark-fruited vineyard. High-toned notes of red fruit peek through and are accented by dark fruits such as blackberry and black cherry. Lone Star’s inherently savory spicy qualities are also present, with toasted cinnamon, green cardamom pods, mixed peppercorns, and bay leaf rounding out the flavor profile. Accent any meal with this structured and elegant Lone Star gem!

2021 Giving Tree Vineyard Pinot Noir

Giving Tree is often a cooler vineyard site, but one that offers layers of complexity and richness in relatively warmer vintages such as this one. Fresh elderberry, black cherry, and sassafrass root take center stage here, with ripe flavors and juicy acidity in abundance. As its finish lingers on the palate, seductive earthy notes evolve into a mouthwatering savory mushroom character, an iconic sensory experience for many Pacific Northwest residents.

Add-On Options

2015 Nuthouse Pinot Noir Magnum 1.5L

Entirely from Lone Star Vineyard, 2015 Nuthouse Pinot Noir exhibits the opulence and power of the Eola-Amity Hills while still retaining fresh fruit and vibrant acidity. Wild cherry, marionberry, roast fennel, and black tea frame its dense core, while the firm tannins persist through its long, creamy finish. After fermentation and gentle pressing, the wine was allowed to age elegantly on its lees for 16 months in French oak, of which 40% were new.
